Lima Expedition – Kuelap

3:30 p.m.: Meeting at the Terminal to take the bus to the city of Chachapoyas. (22 hours of travel) the buses have the following services: 2 accredited drivers to cover the route, terrace, chemical toilets, air conditioning, TV, reclining seats, breakfast, lunch, dinner on board.

2:00 p.m.: Reception at the land terminal, transfer to the selected hostel, rest of the afternoon for acclimatization, overnight.

7:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 a.m.: Transfer to the town of Cocachimba, one hour from Chachapoyas, on the way we will pause to observe the Pitaya Petroglyphs, these were made using the scraping technique, minutes later we will arrive at the town of Cocachimba, from there we will begin a hike for two hours to the Gocta Waterfall (771 meters high, considered the third highest in the world). On the way, we will observe sugar cane cultivation fields, the flora and fauna of the place, with the constant view of the Gocta Waterfall, we will arrive at the Gocta Waterfall. Sighting, taking photographs, etc., return to the town of Cocachimba, typical lunch, in the afternoon return to the city of Chachapoyas.
4:00 or 5:00 p.m.: Arrive at Chachapoyas, transfer to the hotel, overnight.

Travel time: 2 hrs.
Trekking time: 4 hrs.

7:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 a.m.: At the indicated time we will move to the Kuelap fortified citadel, after about 45 minutes we will arrive at the archaeological zone of Macro, observation and explanation of the housing complex built on the slope of a hill, then we will move to the town of Nuevo Tingo, later to the boarding station and exit platform to board the first cable car system in Peru, these take us on a 20-minute trip along 4 kilometers, we arrive at Malca Pampa, then we will walk for about 20 minutes, to enter Kuelap, in this place a professional guide with extensive experience will explain the historical process of Kuelap during the 3-hour visit, we visit different places such as ceremonial enclosures, the main temple, circular rooms, etc. Return by cable car, then we will enjoy lunch and return to the city of Chachapoyas.
5:30 p.m.: Arrive at Chachapoyas, transfer to the hotel, overnight.

Travel time: 5 hrs.
Visit time: 3 hrs.

At the indicated time we will travel in our vehicle to the town of Huancas. On the way we will pause at the Mirador de Luya Urco, in the town of Huancas we will be able to observe the production of typical ceramics, the viewpoint and the Sonche River canyon. Likewise, we will visit the La Cusana Crafts Workshop. Return to the city of Chachapoyas, we will visit the central market, we will taste the typical Chachapoyano bread, Luya Urco viewpoint, Yana-Yacu well ("Fountain of love"), monument to the winners of Higos Urco, at an appropriate time transfer to the bus station.
11:00 a.m.:Departure to Lima.

Dinner, breakfast, lunch on board.
2:00 a.m.: Arrival at the city of Lima.
