La Petaca and Diablo Huasi

After breakfast in Chachapoyas we will go in a private vehicle towards the fortified citadel of Kuelap, after about 45'' we will arrive at the archaeological zone of Macro, sighting and explanation of the housing complex, then we will continue in our mobility for approximately 2 hours. We will pass towns such as Nuevo Tingo, Choctamal, Longuita and María, to finally reach the Kuelap fortress, we will visit different places such as the ceremonial enclosures, the main temple, circular rooms, etc. Lunch, then we move to the town of Leymebamba, hostel, overnight.

After breakfast, we will visit the Leymebamba museum, which houses more than 2,000 archaeological pieces, including the 220 mummies discovered in the mausoleums of the Condores (or Mummies) lagoon.
After lunch, we will go to Tajopampa following the course of the Utcubamba River. Night in Tajopampa in a typical construction of the region, at the foot of the La Petaca rock that houses several Chachapoyas mausoleums. Lunch, dinner included.

Visiting the museum: 1h 30min.

This day will be dedicated to exploring the surroundings of Tajopampa. We will visit the archaeological site of La Petaca, La Boveda and Diablo Huasi, a famous Chachapoya funerary complex characterized by polychrome mausoleums suspended at the top of the cliffs. In these places, a professional guide with extensive experience will explain the context of this Chachapoya funerary complex. Return to Leymebamba and night at the hotel. Breakfast and lunch included, dinner free.

In the morning, transfer by private vehicle to the town of San Bartolo, from there walk for about 40 minutes to the Revash Mausoleums, this set of mausoleums are rectangular constructions of 1 and 2 floors of a funerary nature decorated with Chachapoyas iconography, lunch, Return to Chachapoyas in the afternoon.
